Premium Canadian Red Cedar Construction

Canadian red cedar is a popular choice for outdoor saunas thanks to its natural beauty, pleasant aroma, and suitability for sauna environments.

The Prague combines the character of natural cedar with a rustic, timeless appearance that complements outdoor landscapes.

Key benefits of Canadian red cedar include:

• Natural Weather Resistance: Cedar naturally resists moisture and performs well outdoors when properly installed and maintained.
• Thermal Insulation: The wood's insulating properties help support a comfortable sauna environment.
• Distinctive Natural Aroma: Enjoy the warm, woodsy fragrance of natural cedar.
• Dimensional Stability: Cedar is valued for its relative stability as temperature and humidity change.
• Timeless Appearance: Rich wood tones and natural grain create a premium rustic finish.
• Comfortable Sauna Environment: Natural wood construction contributes to the traditional sauna atmosphere.

Regular maintenance and appropriate weather protection will help preserve the appearance and longevity of your outdoor sauna.

Why Choose a Barrel Sauna?

Efficient Heat Circulation

The Prague's curved barrel shape encourages natural convective airflow, helping distribute warm air throughout the interior. Its rounded design also eliminates the corners found in conventional rectangular sauna structures.

Actual heat-up times and temperature distribution depend on the heater, outdoor conditions, insulation, and installation.

Rustic Outdoor Aesthetic

The natural Canadian red cedar exterior creates a warm, organic look that blends beautifully with gardens, patios, wooded properties, and lakeside settings.

The curved barrel profile and roof shingles add to its distinctive outdoor character.

Designed for Outdoor Conditions

The cylindrical design helps rain and snow shed from the curved exterior, while the roof shingles provide an additional protective feature.

Canadian red cedar is naturally suited to outdoor applications, but proper installation, drainage, ventilation, and ongoing maintenance remain important for long-term durability.

Easy Assembly & Flexible Placement

The Prague comes as a prefabricated kit designed to simplify installation compared with a fully custom-built structure.

Its freestanding design also offers greater flexibility for placement and potential relocation than a permanently built-in sauna, subject to the installation requirements and preparation of the site.

Spacious Yet Space-Conscious

Designed for 4–6 people, the Prague offers room to share a relaxing sauna session without requiring the footprint of a larger rectangular structure.

Its barrel design makes it an appealing option for homeowners looking to add an outdoor wellness feature to a garden, patio, or other suitable space.

Natural Airflow & Comfortable Heat

The curved interior supports natural convection, helping warm air circulate through the sauna. Proper ventilation and heater placement are important for maintaining a comfortable environment and appropriate air exchange.
